The Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) for rough sleepers has been activated within Charnwood. Any individuals who are rough sleeping within the area can approach the council for advice and assistance in staying safe in the heat. Please encourage individuals who are rough sleeping to contact the Housing Options service for assistance on 01509 634666 (or 0333 2008811 out-of-hours in emergencies). Individuals unable to make contact by telephone can present at the council offices during service opening hours.
